HOPE CHAPEL MISSION STATEMENT:
Hope Chapel San Pedro is here to assist people seeking solutions to find hope and answers in Jesus. We are a growing, caring community that reflects the diversity of San Pedro and equips people so they help others become followers of Jesus.

“…because the Lord has appointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to announce that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.”
—Isaiah 61:1

Jesus said these words as he began his assignment here on this earth. The three years of his ministry here were characterized by these very things; bringing good news, comforting the brokenhearted and setting people free. The Bible tells that today we are Jesus’ body here on earth and we have both the privilege and the responsibility to carry on his assignment.

From the first days of our church in 1989, we have been faithful to Jesus’ instructions and have built bridges of hope to countless people here in our community. We have watched as God’s comfort has brought healing and wholeness to the brokenhearted. And we have watched as God’s power has set people free from hopelessness, addictions, lives without meaning and other forms of captivity in our culture. We offer the same to you.

What we do...

Our regular services consist of worship, prayer, message and closing prayer. Afterward, we fellowship with refreshments in the lobby. Our dress is casual and our music is contemporary. We raise our voices in resounding worship and we often raise our hands as an expression of our reverence to God. Our teachings are directly from the Bible and made relevant to our daily experiences. We believe in the power of praying in small groups and that baptism by immersion is an outward sign of an inward work (Matt. 28:19). We take every opportunity to celebrate together as one FAMILY.

Once a month, we share in the Lord’s Supper—acknowledging the sacrifice Jesus made to die for our sins. Whenever a month contains a 5th Sunday, we conduct family services with our Youth band and invite all children from Kindergarten up to attend our normal services (child care only for Pre-K and under).

If you desire prayer for any reason, our prayer team is available at the front of the worship center following each service.
